1. What Are Cookies

Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They are widely used to make websites work efficiently and to provide information to the site operators. Cookies can be "session" cookies (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent" cookies (remaining until they expire or you delete them).

2. Cookies We Use

TimeIn.one uses only strictly necessary and functional cookies. We do not use any advertising, tracking, or analytics cookies.

CookieTypePurposeDuration
timeinone_sessionStrictly necessaryAuthenticates your session. httpOnly — not accessible to JavaScript.7 days
themeFunctionalStores your light/dark theme preference (set by next-themes).1 year
viewUserIdFunctionalUsed by managers to view a linked team member's data. Set only when "view as" mode is activated.24 hours

We believe these cookies do not require consent under the ePrivacy Directive (Article 5(3)), for the following reasons:

  • timeinone_session: Strictly necessary for authentication. Without this cookie, you cannot log in or use the service.
  • theme: Stores your explicitly chosen light/dark preference. This falls under the "user-requested functionality" exemption — the cookie is set only in response to your action of selecting a theme.
  • viewUserId: Set only when a manager explicitly activates "view as" mode to view a linked team member's data. This is a user-requested functional feature that enables a core part of the team management workflow.

Since TimeIn.one uses only functional and strictly necessary cookies and does not use any advertising or tracking cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner. If you disagree with any cookie, you can control cookies via your browser settings (see Section 4 below).

Our hosting provider (Vercel) may occasionally set additional short-lived technical cookies for security or load-balancing purposes. These are strictly necessary for service operation and do not track users across sites.

3. Third-Party Cookies

TimeIn.one does not set any third-party cookies. We use Vercel Analytics for usage insights, which is a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics solution that does not place any cookies on your device.

4. Managing Cookies

You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to:

  • View what cookies are stored and delete them individually
  • Block third-party cookies
  • Block cookies from specific sites
  • Block all cookies
  • Delete all cookies when you close your browser

Please note that blocking the timeinone_session cookie will prevent you from logging in to the service.
